The UV varnish module is a full rotary flexographic unit equipped with an anilox cylinder and a Mercury UV lamp, designed as a retrofit accessory for D.P.R.’s TAURUS and ARIES label finishing systems. It applies UV varnish directly in-line during the label finishing workflow — adding protection, gloss or spot decoration without slowing down production.
Available in two configurations: flood varnish for complete surface UV protection, and spot varnish with cold foil capability for high-impact selective decoration including gold and metallic effects. An optional Vetaphone corona treater slot is available on both models.

The full rotary flood varnish module (VRNx1x) covers the entire label surface with UV coating — delivering superior resistance to scratches, moisture and fading. An effective in-line alternative to traditional cold lamination.
The spot varnish module (VRNx2x) applies UV varnish only to selected areas, creating contrast, tactile depth and visual impact. Includes cold foil capability for metallic, gold and holographic effects that make labels truly unmistakable.
Both modules are available as retrofit additions to existing TAURUS and ARIES systems, or factory-installed on new units. Easy to install and fully integrated in-line — no additional footprint, no extra operator.
The UV lamp power adjusts automatically to match machine speed. When media stops, the protective shutter activates immediately — protecting both the label and the lamp, with a 1000-hour lamp warranty.
A Vetaphone corona treater slot is available on both modules. Treats the label surface before varnish application to improve adhesion on plastic films and specialty substrates. Available in 2kW and 4kW configurations.

Model VRNT (flood varnish) is the retrofit module designed for TAURUS laser label finishing systems. Model VRNA (spot varnish with cold foil) is the retrofit module designed for ARIES semi-rotary label finishing machines. Both are also available factory-installed on new TAURUS and ARIES units.
Cold foil applies metallic or holographic foil to selected label areas using UV adhesive, without the heat required by hot stamping. The VRNA spot varnish module includes cold foil capability, allowing converters to add gold, silver or custom foil effects in-line with ARIES — turning standard labels into high-impact premium products at production speed.
An optional Vetaphone corona treater can be installed alongside the varnish module to treat the label surface before varnish application, improving adhesion on plastic films and challenging substrates. Two power options are available: 2kW (iPM100 + VE1A-M-410 treater station) and 4kW (iPM200 + VE1A-M-410). It is particularly recommended when working with PP, PET or other non-porous films.
