Two independent plotters. One seamless workflow. Zero dies.
D.P.R.’s double plotter finishing systems (VRG22X2 and SCR35X2) are engineered for converters who need the flexibility of knife cutting technology with the speed to meet tighter delivery schedules. Two fully independent plotters work in tandem, always both active, to unwind, cold laminate, digitally die cut, remove waste matrix, slit and rewind finished label rolls — in a single pass at up to 8m/min.
No die plates. No extra tooling costs. Any shape, any size, any quantity — from very short runs to continuous production. The digital workflow gives you the freedom to change label design between every single job.
Two plotters. Always both running. The only knife-cutting finisher that never slows down — regardless of the job.
Both plotters are always active, even with mixed shapes, different sizes or labels that fill the full media width. No scenario forces one plotter offline — unlike double-head systems where one head must be disabled.
VRG22X2 handles media up to 225mm (8.86″) wide. SCR35X2 covers wider media up to 350mm (13.77″). Both deliver a cut precision of 0.3mm and support up to 8 or 12 slitting blades respectively.
Unwind, cold laminate, knife die cut, remove waste matrix, slit and rewind — finished label rolls come out ready to use, with no intermediate steps or additional equipment required.
Digital knife cutting eliminates die plates entirely. Change label shape, size or quantity between jobs instantly — no tooling costs, no minimum orders, no lead times for new dies.
Both plotters run fully synchronized in blank mode, maintaining a constant required gap with no printed registration mark needed. All parameters are set in a few clicks through the Cutting Manager software.
Because both plotters are always running equally, blade wear is uniform and predictable. No more unequal wear causing inconsistent cut quality mid-job — a common problem with double-head systems.
D.P.R.’s double plotter label finishing systems (VRG22X2 and SCR35X2) use two independent knife-cutting plotters working simultaneously to deliver twice the cutting speed of single-head systems. In a single pass they unwind, cold laminate, digitally die cut, remove waste matrix, slit and rewind finished label rolls — no dies required, at speeds up to 8m/min.
VRG22X2 handles media widths up to 225mm (8.86”) with a maximum cutting width of 215mm and an input/output roll diameter of 200mm. SCR35X2 handles wider media up to 350mm (13.77”) with a maximum cutting width of 340mm and an input/output roll of 250mm. Both share a cut precision of 0.3mm and a minimum slitting width of 19mm.
Double plotter finishers use two fully independent plotters that both remain active in every scenario — including layouts with different shapes, different sizes, or when the label width reaches the maximum media width. Double-head systems must disable one head in these common situations, halving their working speed. With D.P.R.’s systems, both plotters always run simultaneously.
No. Both VRG22X2 and SCR35X2 use digital plotter knife cutting — no die plates required. This eliminates tooling costs, enables instant job changes and makes them ideal for short runs, variable designs and on-demand production.
Both finishers support Blank Label Mode, in which the two plotters run fully synchronized while maintaining a constant required gap — without any printed registration mark on the media. All parameters are set in just a few clicks through the Cutting Manager software.
Both systems cut paper and plastic films with a maximum media thickness of 0.25mm (10 mil). The programmable cutting force ranges from 20 gf to 300 gf in 31 steps, covering a wide range of substrates from standard paper labels to specialty films.
The Cutting Manager software uses CCD cameras to detect the single registration mark inside each cutting layout. It then synchronizes the cutting position of both plotters simultaneously and allows fine offset adjustment — delivering a cut precision of 0.3mm across the entire job. Printing distortion correction is also included.
Both VRG22X2 and SCR35X2 include a one-year parts and labor warranty (usage limitations may apply). D.P.R. provides remote assistance and software support for internet-connected customers, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable long-term service.
The Cutting Manager synchronizes the cutting position of both plotters simultaneously using CCD cameras to detect the registration mark inside each layout. Importing a PDF cutting file simplifies the entire workflow, with automatic daily working reports generated by the system.

When your customers need labels fast, the bottleneck is often the finishing step. A single-plotter finisher works at half speed the moment your job has mixed shapes, mixed sizes or full-width labels.
With the double plotter systems, that bottleneck disappears. Both plotters always run. Every job runs at maximum speed. Every delivery comes sooner. The result:
2x cutting speed, Half the turnaround time, No die costs, Any shape any run length, Higher throughput & better margins
